【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareatoolfordevelopmentandqualityassuranceuse.Givenaspecificpressure-sensitivelabelandlinerandarequirementintermsoftheminimumformaximumpeelvalueexpectedforthislinerremovalfromthelabel,thedatafromthetestcanbeusedinconjunctionwithacceptancecriteria.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthemeasurementoftheadherenceofthereleaselinertotheadhesiveofapressure-sensitiveadhesivelabel.1.2Thesetestmethodsprovidemeansofassessingtheuniformityoftheadhesiontothelinerofagiventypeofpressure-sensitivelabel.Theassessmentmaybewithinasheetorrollbetweensheetsorrollsorbetweenproductionlots.1.3Variationinthelabelbacking,liner,linerreleasecoating,adhesive,andadhesivecoatingweight,affecttheresponse.Therefore,thesemethodscannotbeusedtopinpointthespecificcause(s)ofnonuniformity.1.4Thesetestmethodsmaynotbeappropriatetotestlabelshavingeitherrelativelystiffbackingsorstiffliners,orbackingsshowinghighstretchatlowforces.Thesecharacteristicswillresultinahighvariabilityofthetestresponsethatisnotatrueindicationoftherealnatureoftheadhesivebond.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
