【摘要】:ThisPartofBS5628givesrecommendationsforthestructuraldesignofunreinforcedmasonryunitsofbricks,blocks,manufacturedstone,squaredressednaturalstone,andrandomrubblemasonry.NOTEThethicknessofawalldeterminedfromstrengthconsiderationsmaynotalwaysbesufficienttosatisfyrequirementsforotherpropertiesofthewallsuchasresistancetofire,thermalinsulation,soundinsulationorresistancetodamppenetrationandreferenceshouldbemadetoBS5628-3orBS5390,asappropriate.Ithasbeenassumedinthedraftingofthiscodethatthedesignofmasonryisentrustedtocharteredstructuralorcivilengineersorotherappropriatelyqualifiedpersons,forwhoseguidanceithasbeenprepared,andthattheexecutionoftheworkiscarriedoutunderthedirectionofappropriatelyqualifiedsupervisors.
